We develop e-learning courses that are carefully designed to meet instructional requirements in the short term and performance outcomes in the long term. Our courses are compliant with specifications such as SCORM, AICC and TIN CAN and will run seamlessly on all standard systems.

Multi-Device / Responsive Learning
Our wide range of mobile learning solutions are custom made for your organisation, using the latest design techniques to deliver learning across all devices. Whether you use tablets, phablets or smartphones using Android, iOS or Blackberry platforms, and utilising technologies such as HTML 5, Objective C or Flash, we cover it all.
As well as SCORM/AICC compliance standards, we have also integrated Tin Can API into our unique courseware framework for custom mobile learning. In addition, we insist that our solutions utilise the highest levels of security (secure data, company privacy policies, etc.), scalability (across devices and organisations), and design considerations (user-friendly; intuitive).
In responsive design, the layout and content will adapt themselves based on the dimensions and orientation of the device you use.
In adaptive design, a set of fixed dimensions and layouts is predefined, and the appropriate content layout is loaded depending on the device you use.
Displaying the Same Content On All Devices
On a larger device, for example a desktop or tablet, this will work well as a continuous animation with audio dialogs. On smaller devices, like smartphones, the same scenario may benefit from being converted to a simple “photo story”, i.e. static graphics of characters with speech bubbles that learners can swipe their way through easily.
Modifying the elements to be displayed as well as how they are presented, based on the device
For example, there is a set of basic guidelines for food safety – store food at the right temperature, cook food at the right temperature for the right time, wash your hands thoroughly, and so on.
On a larger screen, the first guideline could be a two-stage interactivity, designed to check the temperature of food inside the fridge and then adjust the fridge temperature accordingly.
On a smaller screen, this would be designed slightly differently, but would still present the same information and require the same decision making from the learners.
Sequence and Tracking
We implement the desired compliance specification, e.g. SCORM, Tin Can, based on your requirements, such that progress and scores can be tracked and updated accordingly. In addition, we employ sequencing, so that you can access courses from different devices at different times without any break in the continuity.

This is how we go about doing it
Choose from the three options below depending on your existing course library:
Complete Redevelopment in HTML
Here we extract the content from your Flash–based framework and redevelop the course using our HTML framework and interactive templates library, or perhaps a Lectora framework, or any specific authoring tool that you may wish to prescribe. This is a good option if your existing content contains text, images, simple graphics and animations, interactivities, and/or synchronized audio.
Partial Redevelopment in HTML and Flash
This approach also involves redevelopment using the Upside Learning HTML framework and interactive templates library, or any preferred authoring tool that you require. The focus here is also on reusing your own existing Flash–based animations, leading to significant cost savings. This is a good option if your existing content contains rich graphics and complex animation, as well as text, images, interactivities, and/or synchronized audio.
In this case, we republish courses you have had developed in older versions of authoring tools, but in a higher version. We redevelop interactivities, re–sync audio, and make minor adjustments to layouts, where required. Many courses published in older versions of authoring tools require pages to be re-coded, in order to be able to publish them in higher versions of the tool.
How to mEnable Your e-learning?
Quality of solution is vital, which is why we have a three-step mEnablement process in place.
- Analysis - Understanding your existing Flash-based e-learning and what you would like to move to e.g. content and presentation types, compliances delivery devices etc.
- Solution - We suggest the most suitable mEnablement approach (as outlined above)
Development - We extract the content from your existing e-learning and recreate it completely, or alternatively customise/rework it. We will then reintegrate or republish it, and thoroughly test it on the selected devices

In today's multi-device world, there are a wide range of devices on which eLearning needs to be supported. Various browsers, manufacturers, models, sizes, operating systems, connectivity modes and platforms further complicate this challenge.
This is where our Multi-device Testing Lab comes into play
To ensure that eLearning works properly on multiple devices, we utilise actual primary devices and configurations during our testing phase. This means that along with designing and developing multi-device responsive or adaptive eLearning, we also have have the resources and ability within our Test Lab to thoroughly and systematically test eLearning on specified target devices and within different environments.
Our Testing Lab is fully equipped with a variety of devices running different operating systems and browsers. We have screen sizes between 240 x 320 and 1280 x 800 pixels, as well as some high-DPI variants. Windows PCs, Macs and laptops allow us to test larger displays, while tablets and smart phones, running iOS, Android and Windows, cover smaller displays. We also use software tools, such as Adobe Edge Inspect and Ghostlab, to help in quick and accurate turnaround.
